Shaanxi operates its First 10,000ton Heavy Haul Train

At 17:40 on September 20, a train (No.71402) loaded with 10,277 tons of coals departed from the Shenmu West Railway Station of CR Xi'an and headed to Caofeidianxi Railway Station in Tangshan, Hebei, marking the successful operation of the first 10,000ton heavy haul train in Shaanxi. This also means that CR Xi’an has joined the ranks of 10,000ton heavy haul train operation, which will lay solid foundation for the implementation of the“Three Safeguards and Three Increases” Initiatives (safeguarding security, stability and operation, and increasing volume, revenue and benefit).
The Baotou-Xi'an Railway, engaged in coal outward transport from Shaanxi Province registered an annual volume of 63.19 million tons in 2018, which is expected to exceed 72.4 million tons after the operation of 10,000-ton heavy haul train.
